DALLAS — As part of its 2012 annu-
al meeting held in October in Dallas,
the Federation of Insurance Women
of Texas elected its 2012-13 president:
JoAnna Ringel, of Bliss and Glen-
non. Ringel is a member of the Insur-
ance Women of Corpus Christi. Her
theme for the year is “Cruising New
Horizons.”
Other newly-elected officers include
President-Elect Vanessa Torres, of Li-
tchfield Special Risks Inc., Insurance
Women of El Paso; Vice President
Gigi Heffernan, ACSR, of Heffernan
Insurance Agency, Insurance Profes-
sionals of Galveston County; Record-
ing Secretary Sharon Foster, PIWT,
ACSR, ANIS, of Barnard Insurance
Group, North Texas Insurance Profes-
sionals; and Corresponding Secretary
Debbie Johnson, DUAL ACSR, Bor-
den Insurance, Insurance Associates of
Corpus Christi.
Immediate Past President Conya Harris, CIC, ACSR, CISR, of Johnston
Fiss Insurance, serves as the chairman
of the executive committee. She is a
member of Insurance Women of the
Metroplex.
